Sharron Lowe (Amos)

Sharron Lowe (Amos)

Sharron passed away on October 7, 1994 in Grants Pass, Oregon.  Her death does not seem to have been related to her lifelong diabetes.  Rather it appears that she died as a result of some fluke event which occured while she was in the hospital for another matter.  She is interred at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, as a military spouse.

Sharron was a very pleasant, fun and cute girl in high school.  She was married for 30 years to Bob Amos, the older brother of our classmate, Alan.

With fond memories, Rogers C. Smith

I was very sorry to learn that Sharron had died.  While I was never close friends with her, we had several classes together, and I liked her enormously.  She was quiet, so I think I tended to overlook her sometimes.  But I remember her as being very sweet and kind.  I believe she was diabetic, and she missed a lot of school.  But she was so smart that she just jumped right back into the thick of things, got good grades, and plodded along.  I regret that I am now unable to reconnect with her at reunions and have the long conversations that I should have had with her back then.
