Dennis Crawford passed away at the beginning of October, 2019, after an illness. He is survived by his wife Annette, his son Joel, his mother Betty, and one brother, Mark. Dennis was the oldest of 4 sons. He served in the Army and was most recently living in Hillsboro, Oregon. I have very little other information about his family or his passing as he requested no obituary and no memorial service. I am hoping that some of his many close friends will add to this notice on our webpage. You may also email me at terryjschu@gmail.com and I will add the information if you prefer. Sincerely, Terry Schumacher
Rest in Peace, Dennis. You were well loved by your classmates and will be missed.

I'm sad to hear about Dennis. Although I've not seen him for awhile, I consider him a good friend. He and I got to know each other playing baseball. After school I saw him often at the Kubota dealership his family had in Hillsboro, where I got to know his mother and brother Mark. I want to extend my sincere wishes for peace to the family and will keep them in my prayers. Tom Schoen.

Dennis you are missed.
I have been in touch with Dennis the last few years. I would most often visit with him at Beaverton High football and soccer fields. He was a huge sports fan, following his nephew Carson Crawford, as a star football player for BHS. He also followed my granddaughter Ashtyn's soccer team, he would call and see when her next home game would be.
Dennis and I met in the 8th grade and attended Sunset as Freshmen on the same school bus. He had a wonderful since of humor and loved participating in sports. Many years (2016) later a group of old friends including Dennis, attended a Sunset High home coming football. Needless to say they played Beaverton High. I won't say which team won the game.
RIP my dear old friend.

The following message comes from Jim Kotchik, Class of '61:
Dennis and I were “golf buddies” for several years before his passing, playing once a week during the good weather season. Our arrangement was that he would book tee times and I would pick him up to drive to whatever course we were playing. Our favorite courses were at The Reserve, where we would play as a twosome or sometimes as a foursome with his brothers Mark and Chris. We also played frequently with a small group of friends at many other courses in the area. Dennis Green and Laun Carlin were part of that group. Since we had lots of “windshield time” for one on one conversations, I got to know Dennis quite well. We shared similar interests and views of the world, so discourse was easy. In the off season, we would talk on the phone or text back and forth. I miss those times and remember Dennis fondly.
