Barbie was my best friend through all of grade school.  We had the same teacher for 8 years, we played almost everyday together at her house or mine.  We went to different colleges but pledged the same sorority, both married guys named Jim and both had sons named Eric.  There were many parallels in out lives; I was devastated when she passed away from ovarian cancer in 2008.
