This is Tessa’s daughter Cara. We have sad news. Tessa died peacefully yesterday after a long struggle with brain cancer. We are grateful to all the friends & family that have supported her.
There will be a gathering to remember her in the future and we will post here when we have the details.
We have learned from Tessa'a daughter, Cara, that she passed away. Her daughters will post future information on Tessa's Facebook page if you would like to check there from time to time to keep up to date. When an obituary is available, we'll post it here.Tessa was a well-known person in our class due to her friendliness, her caring, her intelligence and sociability.
I especially remember your brilliant smile and your ability to debate in class. Peace and blessings to you, Tessa.

There are a lot of people in the Sunset High School class of 1963 who made a postive impact on
my life and Tessa is certainly among them. She was simply one of the most positive and upbeat
persons I have eve met. My wife, Ruth Ann, had an opportunity to work closely with Tessa
much later in her professional life and she felt exactly the same way about her. I am grateful to
Judy Goddard ( formerly Judy Abernathy) who helped me leave messages of gratitude from me
and others in our class for Tessa last June. She is one of the sources of encouragement that
will always be missed .
