Schindele, Dennis Eugene 69 May 04, 1945 Sept. 01, 2014 Dennis Schindele was born in Portland, to Fredrick and Margie Schindele in 1945. He graduated from Sunset High School in 1963. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1967 and graduated from Portland State University with a degree in business in 1973. He was employed from 1973 to 2009 in safety and risk management positions with Hyster, FMC, Portland Public Schools, Beaverton School District and security companies until retiring in 2009. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Jones; mother, Margie Schindele; son, Eric Schindele; grandson, Mitch- ell Schindele; sisters, Beth (William "Bill") Ellis and Sue (Dean) Shade; nephew, William "Bill" Palmer; nieces, Molly and Emily Shade, Rachel Ellis Bliss and Karen Ellis Harrington; aunts, Gail Fincham and Shirley Sloan; father-in-law, Earl Swenson; brother-in- law, Gary Swenson (Theresa Sisco); nieces, Kileen and Kristin Swenson; and nephews, Jason (Amy) Sisco and Kyle Sisco. A memorial service celebrating Dennis's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Washington County, 22785 N.W. Birch St., Hillsboro. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Dennis's life may be made to The Cat Adoption Team, 14175 S.W. Galbreath Drive, Sherwood, OR 97140.
