Nan Jean died when she was 50 years old.  I don't remember how she died but Mike Redman sang at her funeral.  I remember Nan Jean from 6th grade when we were both in Mrs. Fair's class at Cedar Hills Grade School.  She was a sweet girl.

Nan and i became friends in 6th grade at cedar hills grade school---she and her mom loved my dad--at the time manager of Rodgers in Cedar Hills Shopping Center- so we had met before i started school that year---we were in CAMPFIRE GIRLS together---Bill Vincent's (class of 1962) mom---was our leader--we loved her!---and i remember meeting at Krista Hanson-Reed's house a few times!----and we danced with a broom at camp pretending he was PAT BOONE!-------I guess Nan considered me as a sister since she had none----we went our separate ways in high school but reunited in Hillsboro when she started a business  ROOTS END ELECTROLISIS -----she always wanted to be married and have children and loved my daughters--for her 50th  January 7th i sent her purple flowers and said when i was "old" i too would want purple flowers--of course i turned 50 the next month and she had a wonderful birthday party for me and my family at COUNTRY KITCHEN in Beaverton---she -the Dr. said-develped pneumonia-but it was not that---and finally we insisted she be put in the hospital--but it was too late-March 10th of the year she turned 50-------------a blood clot went through her heart from her lung only an hour after i visited her in the hospital!----------was so so sad!-----she gave so many gifts to everyone she knew and didnt know-------she loved to give!-----------------------had such a kind kind heart----and whenever i feel sad or discouraged all i have to do is think about how her life was cut short-----how blessed i was to know her and how blessed i am to have my beautiful daughters and grandchildren!-----------------we were blessed to have Mike Redmond sing at her funeral---their families had been friends in Cedar Hills for many years.-----
